We had the same nervous-ness a couple of months ago for a flight to the USA booked direct with Thomas Cook Airways - and them being very unstable financially.
It is very nerve racking so feel your pain and hope all works out ok for you.
I'm sure the BA workers have timed it intentionally at the worse possible time for customers - ie peak holiday season including kids holidays - but IMO this really could harm BA's reputation moving forward. I know I will never consider booking with them now and I will not book with Thomas Cook either, more so as there is no atol cover on flights, only package holidays. You have some claw back paying with credit card, but we paid on a debit card so if Thomas Cook had of gone bump, we would have had no come back. |
