Worrying times for Thomas Cook. Reading the papers today there is a general consensus that the company is in dire trouble. I have a holiday booked with them for June, ATOL protected obviously but I’m still concerned. Anyone else have a booking with them?

Yes could be problems but as long as you have paid at least a part by credit card then the whole amount is protected if they go under before you holiday (Yes a pain if no holiday but the money is protected). If they go under whilst away, you will be repatriated.  Also check your travel insurance for holiday company failures.

I just got back from Vegas & thankfully TC didn’t go bust so experienced my 1st long haul with TC Airlines.

Omg the seats are terrible !!!!!

They are supposedly ‘ergonomic’
Erm I think that’s code for ...
Slim line so they can fit more on.

We even went premium economy so I dread to think what economy is like.

The seats are far too thin & unsupportive.
The seat bases are hard as a rock and FAR TOO SHORT on pitch. There is just not enough under leg support and your legs go way beyond the seat support. They also feel too low.

I was in so much discomfort both directions for 10 hours.

Whoever designed those seats needs shooting.

Never never again & back to Virgin.

What aircraft did you fly on?
I went to Dominican Republic with them on an A330 and the seats were comfy, 31 inch leg room was enough for me (I am 6ft 1)

Yep an A330. Leg room was fine ... it was just the slim line seats which were rock hard & unsupportive & pitch was far too short.

We flew to Orlando with them last year and found the seats fine (and I am not a small guy ) it was the food that let them down also having to pay for the newer films as well. So use to Emirates back to Malaysia, so much better.

Yes the media was no where near the standard of Virgin either.
They make a big thing about the James Martin meals but they were nothing special.
Even in premium economy they wanted to charge a premim for some drinks, which I thought was penny pinching.
So really not impressed at all.
