I haven't done a BA domestic for about a year and a half at least. This very week I found out things that by now are long decided. I am behind the times. BA have dummed down short haul so far I wonder along with many others now, what's the point of them ? 31-32 pitch is now 29 ! Or will be when they get round to all their fleet. Food is now sold and I've read that this has been problematic to the point of farce. So I ask, what's the point if there is a choice on the route and you don't have a BA connection. ? Ryanair's seat pitch is actually 30 i.e. more than BA. 29 is just too small and I know from having flown Easyjet who set at 29. Knees pressed against the seat in front and impossible to fold down the tray onto my guts. Awful.
So it seems, Ryanair not quite so bad now, relatively speaking.
The most shocking thing is BA have made 29 the pitch between rows at the front, that are classed as Business or Club Europe nearest equivalent. I find this so stupid. I can see Caledonian Sleeper service getting more popular and especially so since as of next year there are new carriages coming. |
