Indeed Still there....The lanes are getting busier over the years that I've been here. Nowadays nearly everyone has SatNav so the moment anything happens on the M1 all the back roads are filled up. It is a very nice spot though as you know, close to London and the airports yet enough country side....

Heated seats are welcomed as we are up on the Chilterns and it does get cold, but then when we go down in the valley we need to fold the mirrors

There you go OP, just dig in your pockets and look behind the sofa and get both. But before you do, have you considered the intelligent light system? If you haven't already, that would be on top of my list.

One of the options I’ve missed most over the last 3.5 years is full beam assist (so will be coding it to my current car soon). Haven’t really missed adaptive headlights as much but agree that if doing a lot of countryside driving they would be a plus!

Especially in combination with full beam assist. The ones on my GLC43 are really good, I love it how it 'draws' a black box around oncoming traffic but keeps the full beam going. I understand the BMW version is even better....

Mercedes's next version will even put satnav markings on the road for you

Sounds like the same sort of thing Audi do with their Matrix light system, not something I’ve had any first hand experience of unfortunately.

On a freezing cold, dark morning, heated seats are fantastic. That almost instant warmth permeating you lower back and bum is indescribable.
Frankly, leather is overrated and not my favourite covering: sticky in the summer, cold and hard in the winter.

Though my last two cars now have had it, I would never spec full leather for that exact reason.

The last car that I was able to choose in, I went for half leather, half alcantara, which was far nicer and meant I didn’t need to spec heated seats.

My girlfriend has the heated windscreen on her Focus and I have to say that it is one of the most useful inventions. I would go as far as to say that I would give up my heated seats and folding mirrors for a heated windscreen. Press a button and within 2 minutes the screen is clear.

Seems to be a common occurrence. The same thing happened off the coast of Ireland with a Royal Navy submarine
