I on the look-out for something to replace my Volvo S60 D4 company car, and rather from choosing from a list, there's a chance I might get a free choice.

I've always liked going against the crowd and the Alfa has really caught my eye as a good alternative to my current car or a 3 series.
Although an excellent car, I find the current A4's quite bland to look at, something the Alfa isn't. I'd be going for the 2.2L 180 HP version. I'll be doing 30-35k miles a year.

So, does anyone have any practical experience of either a long term hire or ownership? Reviews are pretty good, with all the major ones coming in at 4/5. However the infotainent system and screen reviews would concern me.

What better place to see proper piston heads who own Alfas, Pistonheads!

Some owners here, sure they won’t mind if you sign up and ask questions.

Had a good look round one in Geneva. Very nice. But you’ve always got that nagging thought in the back of your mind regarding reliability......once out of the warranty period......is it gonna cost £££££££££££££?

This will be a company car so no worries on that front.

I had a drive around the track in one, does that count? And as I much as I really seriously want one, the Stelvio is a better choice for us.

Not unless it was a diesel you took around the track

The Quadrifoglio (assuming that's what you drove) is getting some amazing reviews even compared to the brilliant M3, how did you find it?

No definitely not a diesel...And yes the Quadrifoglio is just awesome, absolutely awesome.

I was actually driven by a former Formula 1 driver that you may know Martin Donnelly
