2008 Focus - Can't connect my Samsung S7 android !!!!

I have a 2008 ford focus convertible that doesn't have ford SYNC.
I have a Samsung S7 edge, and whilst my phone can 'see' the car, the car can't 'see' my phone ! Any advice welcome !

Have you changed the setting on the phone to make it visible to other devices?

If you don't have the owners manual for the car you should be able to find out how to pair your phone by using the owners manual available on the Ford website.

maybe the software within the head unit is out of date(OLD),so won't pair with new phones..

Look in the BT menu of the car and you will probably find all the previous owners phones ?? delete them and it will work perfectly . At that age it will be the excellent Sony unit , dont forget its only for phone calls as its far to old to do streaming .
