So here's a funny one.
Picture this, you are driving down a narrow one away street that has cars parked along the right hand side. It's not a problem as our low speed maintains a safe passage.
Then the car in front of you stops and parks on the left. There is now so little space between the parked cars as to cause her difficulty opening her drivers door. The driver locks the door and,  despite your protestations, walks away.

What do you do.

Easy. I get my tow rope from the boot and use my diesel torque to drag her car outta the way.

If the driver hasblocked the road, phone the police maybe, if it's like a cul de sac and parking is a nightmare , different story, i woundn't have the nerve to tow someone else's car even on the internet lol

Parking a car like that for any length of time will block emergency/fire vehicles and is causing an obstruction to delivery vehicles etc.

The police would need to be notified with the car reg and make/model details.

I'm not quite sure what you mean. Did she block the road or just get out the passenger side?

Take photos, make a note of the times, call the Police.  Put Hazard lights on.

She (the driver) parked the car blocking the road completely and was going to walk away and leave it. She was cross about the opposite neighbour " always taking her space". We were faced with reversing 250 metres the wrong way down a one way street in a marked up school car - not going to happen. This was 30 minutes before the boys test time at a test centre 10 miles away.

It was resolved by me persuading her to call the police herself to complain about her neighbours " bad parking" but to move her car in the meantime.

Although not sure what the police will do since I presume there is no allocated parking on the street so anyone is allowed to park where they like. Hence she will not have 'a space' but will probably feel that the bit of road in front of her house is 'hers'. So the police will come and basically tell her that the neighbour is parked perfectly legally and nothing they can do (Also I think the police do not get involved in parking matters anyway these days).
Glad you got it sorted with good old fashioned talking to the person!!!!
