Thanks for help guys, took car in this morning and had the 4 speaker replaced. The 4 stock speakers were decent till one broke, but the 4 he has fitted are so so much better!! He charged me £200 which I am happy with. The speakers aren't gonna blow audiophiles away (which I am pretty fussy with sound myself) but not being a basshead, these are perfect for me and I am impressed. £200 pound got me:

2x Pioneer TSG1720F
2x Pioneer TS1701I
Fitting
Replaced some cabling
Repaired broken light in headliner (didn't turn on when door opened, now it does).

Speakers are around £35 each so £140 for speakers and £60 for fitting and minor fixes, overall think I did ok.

If you think it's £200 well spent, it's £200 well spent

Im noticing a huge improvement, but its first time ever buying car stereo stuff. Would of probably been better buying them myself and just pay fitting. But the garage round corner charges £80 to fit 4 speakers so I suppose your paying mostly labour regardless. If I factor in the repaired light (which KIA wanted £40 for) then its not as bad. He also needed to make some custom brackets for them to fit.

You don't need to be a "basshead" to appreciate the benefits a subwoofer can bring to a car audio system

Car interior's tend to suck out the bass and leave the sound a flat, thin and lifeless, unless you have some 8-10 inch full range speakers capable of producing some reasonable bass. Even a modest powered subwoofer will greatly improve the sound of most car's audio systems.

Big difference changing your speakers from the crappy factory fitted ones. I've had it done with nearly every car I've owned. Almost always Pioneer speakers as well. They sound loads better.
