OBD2 reader or Bluetooth

Hi

I'm looking to maybe get a OBD2 reader, either a dedicated hand reader like Antel AD410 or a Bluetooth one to use on iOS with my iPhone.

It's not for a specific problem just for interest and in case get a code or warning light.

This is for a 2017 car so pretty new so shouldn't have problems reading it, I've found the port.

What something to read and then if fix it be able to reset the choice as well, I presume if it isn't fixed and you clear it then the light/code will come back on?

Double check but most of the ODB2 Bluetooth readers won't work on iPhones.
I bought a super cheap job from eBay and I had to borrow an old Android phone off a mate to play with Torque Pro.
I found the reading codes was fine but I needed to look them up online.
Clearing codes seemed quite easy to do accidentally which could make it harder for a real mechanic to deal with them later.

Am I correct in thinking you have a Vauxhall?
If so, there is a diagnostic method unique to Vauxhall....

With engine OFF....press down the accelerator pedal and brake pedal together, keep them pressed and turn on the ignition to position 2 without starting the engine....If an error code is present then it will display where your mileage is displayed. Nothing displayed means no error code present.

There are lots of videos on you tube that show you the method.
