Hi all,

I have had some damage done to my car and need part of the boot door / tailgate replacing.

It is the exterior body coloured plastic trim as indicated on the attached photo (not my actual car).

I am struggling to find this part on the internet to buy as I don't know what to search for, neither name of part or actual ford part number.

The car in question is a Ford Fiesta 2016 1ltr. Colour - Moondust Silver Metallic

Any info on this part and also where I may purchase it would be very much appreciated.

Thanks

Can’t help with the part number but having recently looked into replacing a similar part on my wife’s focus which had snapped off, be prepared to pay an extortionate amount to Ford. (They wanted £160   VAT for the chrome tailgate trim for a 2008 focus).

The website catcar.info has diagrams-part numbers.

Is this page any help to you (<43400A then check options in the list) ?

This is what I was trying to find myself but had no luck. Thanks. Looks like there is nothing available at the moment in the same colour as my car (moondust silver) but at least this narrows down the search results.

I wouldn't be going through Ford as due to financial problems I am trying to keep it as cheep as possible. I have a quote for respray for £100 but the guy at the body repair shop said it would probably be cheaper to buy the part online from Ebay or parts shop.

I’d think that the respray is likely to be the cheapest option unless you get very lucky

Thanks for looking for me. Sorry I should have mentioned the colour of my car. Amended original post.

In terms of getting a 2nd hand one I think you will struggle. Almost impossible to remove without breaking the clips so I doubt many breakers yards will bother.

From the second link that IronGiant posted, the part shows bolt threads rather than clips so it looks like it is bolted from the other side, but it would mean removing the inside trim to access it.
