I'm counting the weeks until I can get rid of it. If I could cancel my lease now without penalty I would jump at the chance.

Broke down on Saturday. Exiting a roundabout tried to pull away and the whole car started juddering and shaking. Seemed to coast okay but whenever I tried to apply power it would just rattle and shudder. Managed to coax it to a side street. Cue a 2.5 hour wait for a technician to turn up with his tablet to have a look. He couldn't fathom it at first but then diagnosed a transmission control unit failure.

He kept trying to fix the software but his 4G connection kept cutting out. After 3 or 4 attempts to log in he finally managed to reset the unit and the problem was fixed.

Absolute garbage. God I hate this car.

Sounds like you have a very late Friday afternoon East German model, my brother had a similar experience with a brand new BMW 5 series which at the time was winning praise from everybody...His leaked water so badly the carpets could be wrung out.

Or the odd 1 in X amount of Mk4 Golfs from South Africa that would arrive with 3cm of water inside the cabin and mold on all seats and upholstery.
Nothing like a complete strip, dry, identify an issue with bulkhead sealing (for factory) and the customer buying their new car that will have that certain.......smell, issue later on.

Now the engine oil pressure warning keeps coming on for a couple of seconds when I'm driving. When I can get the electronic dipstick screen to work (it doesn' have an actual dipstick) it shows 3/4 full so no problem there. Back to the garage it goes on Monday.

Oh and there' a really sour melted glue kind of smell coming in through the vents in hot weather with the a/c on. So they can check that out too.

LOL why don’t you just get rid of it. Surely you’ve had that piece of sh*t long enough to get out of any contract.

All cars have a dipstick, they are usually behind the steering wheel

Back at Mercedes. The passenger window won't close. It gets to the top and then decides it wants to be open half way. I can shunt it up to the top as close as I dare but it makes a whistling noise. If I shunt too far it opens half way again.

2 and a half months of this hell left. Cannot wait for my new car to arrive. Hopefully they can deliver it sooner.
