Car insurance,cancel 5 months left

Hi people would like some advice on car insurance, changed my car and insurance has gone up extra £100 a month to £132 ,now I have done some quotes online and they are coming in at around £40 a month.
I am with Hastings at moment,I still have 5 months left of the 12 to go,,,I understand I will be charged admin fees,but is there anything else I should be weary of eg   more fees

If you cancel mid term you won't get any NCD for the year.

NCD would this be worth £500 discount on my next insurance policy I wonder,,,,,or too put it better way,,,how much per calendar year is NCD discount worth

Varies, different insurers offer different discounts per NCB year. But it won't be worth £500 unless you are paying 000's for your insurance.
Ballpark -  30% first year NCB, then an additional 10% per year claim free.
