Modern engines are so well built that no bedding in is required. In the old days, the amount of cack that would drop out with the first oil change was quite worrying, but no longer an issue.
Taking it easy for the first mile or so until the oil is well distributed is always a good idea and modern engines heat the block and lubricant up nice and quickly to reduce emissions and improve efficiency.
I am not suggesting that you drive it like you stole it, but don't worry excessively!! |
