In case you didn't know (and I didn't until I borrowed a friend's car and had to take action to avoid a give-way chancer), many cars' hazard flashers operate in heavy braking or sudden deceleration.

Don't why some are so against dash cams? Cops always appeal for such footage, when there's been a serious accident. Some insurance companies offer discount for vehicles with them fitted. Cop cars have 'black box' technologies. These technologies not only can reveal bad driving, but also reveal who was not responsible.
