Come to Australia where it is legal to pass on the left on multi lane roads in all states and territories. Other lane discipline is slightly worse than described in this thread and the keep left unless overtaking rule doesn’t quite say that unless there is a sign and if you interpret it that way. It seems to say you can’t stay In the right hand lane unless overtaking so pootling in the other lanes is ok.
All in all weaving at speed narrowly missing a
bumper or two is not only encouraged by the rules, it is the norm.
Australia is the reason cars have all round sensors and alarms if somebody is in your “blind spots” (read anywhere from 30 feet in front to 30 feet behind on either side of your car in your and all other lanes, which is where most drivers seem not to look) |
