when going from Runcorn to Wigan i used the bridge i noticed it said £2 so i said to the wife get £2 please ,we came of for Wigan she said where do we pay god knows never thought any more about it until a £40 fine came through the door, I don’t do many motorway miles used the m6 toll once where you pay at a booth ,i will have to suck it up no doubt but seams a bit underhand when you don’t know the crac !!

I was caught twice on the same day! Its absolutely bloody idiotic the system. ive now opened an account which has to have a minimum of £30 in so it doesnt happen again even though I only use iot very very infrequently

Yes, it's very easy to forget. it's well sign posted, but if you are not local - or used to the Dartford crossing or Dublin ring road the fine would come as a nasty surprise.
