Which OBD tool - MK7 Golf

Hi all,

Having just moved from a MK7 GTi to a MK7 GTD, there are a few tweaks I would like to make to the car that were standard on the GTI.
Which is the best/most supported tool?
Does anyone have any recommendations of mods for the GTD through these tools?

VERY limited. You can't change any options without a subscription. They trumpet a free trial but you can only get that if you buy a yearly subscription & then cancel.

VCDS is the best.

I got enough free time when I bought mine in May last year to make the 3 changes I wanted to, no subscription was needed. It was worth it to completely get rid of the soundaktor, blip on locking and the throttle response.

Maybe they've changed the subscription model since then?

I’ve read that, but provides a lot more than the average person wants and is a bit clunky to use. Do you have it?

I’ve been reading up in ODBeleven which seems to get good reviews and really simple if you buy the pro sub.

Yes I’ve got an official cable and software. It’s been really good. But yes it is technical and does a lot of things. Quite nice seeing it scan every module.
