score 4/10
I am a huge fan of Tupac Shakur. I think that he is great rapper but, once it comes to making a movie on him, does it really work. For the most part unfortunately no. I am a huge film buff and I have never seen a movie have as much grasp as this one. This movie sucks the audience in to the movie but once the time comes it fails to escalate us and lets us out into the open with no easily thinkable thoughts. This movie doesn't have any subject matter or doesn't get too in depth with what happened back in 2Pac's time. What we want is a movie like this to get in-depth but, it doesn't. So audiences who want a movie like Straight Outta Compton where you learn about the history of these symbolic musicians, you will not have the least bit of enjoyment with this film. That being said, the music and background score is flawless along with our lead actor Demetrius Shipp Jr. who was was the perfect rookie actor. He was the glory of this movie and hope for it.
