I really wanted to like this having grown up on Nancy Drew. I read every single book multiple times all through middle school. Though I know this day and age wouldn't transfer well from book to tv, this series is borderline blasphemous. Nancy Drew is supposed to be an incredibly intelligent, motivated woman... This Nancy seems confused, lost, somewhat slow and promiscuous. The acting is terrible, the casting of Ned Nickerson is ATROCIOUS. The only positive I can think of is the actually filming of the show, which is very Riverdale-esque and thus well done.
