Drake and Josh is one of the hottest shows to hit Nick in the last few years. The incredible aspect of the show is how it resembles what classic nick was all about: Pure comedy. Granted, many cast and crew members were actors/workers of previous nickshows, which makes the show even greater. It brings a modern view to its comedy, combined with a classic aspect ensued by the wonderful actors on the show.
The biggest thing about this show is that people do not give it a chance. They see another modern sit-com of two teenagers and can easily deem it as "unrealistic" or "too much like a farce". Well, though it is easy to say that the show's writers were too biased to give Drake what he wanted and left Josh out to dry, I don't think that was the intention. The contrasting characters as brothers makes for one insanely funny television show. Throughout the seasons, both brothers are pulling the other brother to act like the other. And you can feel as a viewer how this theme is played out as the episodes progress. Josh is transformed from an overweight nerdy girl-dysfunctional teenager, to a lean, loving guy who is capable of picking up a date. Drake, who's changes are not as blunt but are still apparent, is changed from a fast-talking floozy to someone who generally cares and respects his surroundings, friends, and other aspects of like. The bond between the brothers, the dopey father, the sweet-loving mother, and the evil(but sometimes not-evil) little sister, make Drake and Josh one of the best Nick sit-coms playing today. Just give it a chance!
