This show started very strong. I loved the first half of season one and the rest was pretty good TV too. But little by little it started to get more and more annoying, to the point that by mid season 2 I gave up watching. The reason? male characters on this show.
Granted, this show is almost entirely carried by Katy Mixon's brilliant acting and it is a female friendly show but at some point the show loses its charm and gets hard to watch.
As a woman I am all for getting rid of misogyny and male characters who act like pigs, but not to the point where your male characters become these emasculated caricatures. Believe me, if in real life a man acted this way he wouldn't earn my respect, on the contrary it looks pathetic. The way they're portrayed on this show really makes it hard to watch.
