Watchable but the political correctness is tiresome.....

Broadchurch is, for the most part, watchable but the mealy mouthed political correctness, is tiresome.

This series follows the standard British "ABC" crime formula. Like most UK series of its kind its mostly well acted and moderately convincing. That said, the whiny, mealy mouthed political correctness emanating predominantly from the lead female detective is irritating. Virtue signaling and prickly moral "tut-tutting", quickly gets old and her overall personality, is downright annoying.

Casting this consideration aside, this is for the most part still quite entertaining but would have been better if the series had taken a more down to earth, less precious, approach. Six out of ten from me.
