This certainly seems like the beginnings of a smart and complex storyline.
Allowing the viewer to join in the ride with lead character Sarah is a great beginning, and her 'bad-girl' persona adds a nice little guilty pleasure to the viewing experience. Enough details are dropped to build that connection almost instantly - She's a foster child, she is bold, intelligent and gutsy - It's also nice to see a strong female character free of most of the classic clichés.
It's also great to see something on Space channel which combines some intrigue and thriller-type action and the writing in this seems a cut above so far.
I am drooling over this already, the anticipation for the next episode started building even before the end of the first one!
