This is a pretty good adaptation from the manga by Sui Ishida. I was looking forward to this and I'm not disappointed much. The story is uniquely dark and has plenty of captivating ideas. The story behind the ghouls is intriguing and how this world works with the CCG and ghouls being able to heal, how they live, etc. The characters are also pretty likable. Kaneki is definitely a pansy but I didn't find him annoying per say. Animation is good. I find the character design to be alright, but I'm not a fan of all the colors. I thought voice acting was great for both sub and dub. I personally prefer Austin Tindle as Kaneki more. The music is just perfect. I absolutely love the opening, "Unravel" and the ending, "Saints." Runtime is pretty good too. Each episode is 24 minutes and they all have good pacing for the most part
I give Tokyo Ghoul an 8.1/10 (Really good). As long as you're watching it uncensored
