Jane the virgin does a fantastic job in bringing telenovelas to popular culture (actually a story line) from the first episode characters start to be built and there is not one that dissopoints. Even the villians ate great characters, such as rose. The actors that play these charactets are fantasic actors such as Gina, yael and Justin. People that complain about subtitles dont appreciate the intergration of original telenovelas into this and how bi-lingual familes are very common (gina actually grew up like that) Reviews that complain about how unrealistic and over the top the show is really do not understand the premise of a telenovela. The unbelievable nature of the show is what makes it so captivating and fun to watch. Also those who complain about the virgin mother story line need to understand that this show is based off an actual telenovela about 'jane the virgin'. This is the one show that i have ever watched and not thought has got any worse. This is my go to, if im bored and have nothing to watch, need a cry, need a laugh or having a bad day. It has any episode for every mood! 10/10 watch. It has happiness, heartbreak, laughs, love between family and relationships. Goes a long way in popularising latin culture, that includes the combo of english and spanish, telenovela premises and even political aspects that are respectfully touched upon such as immigration. Would reccomend to anyone.
