Whenever one is to tell of history, or write about it, it must be studied. It is undeniable that Brazil had a dictatorship regime starting in 64 as portrayed by director Moura. However, just as in "The Edge of Democracy", only one side of the story is shown, and manipulated in favour of the author's biased opinion.
Don't get the wrong idea here, Moura is a great actor, and has done some great pieces of acting, however when it comes to directing movies, he should keep his own convictions to himself, especially when retelling history. Suggesting the main character was black in the first place, and choosing Seu Jorge to play him is as plausible as a white, blue-eyed Jesus. It's one google search away...
In the end, one can choose whatever to watch, like or follow, but when it comes to a place's history, it should be unbiased and influence the viewer with facts, not opinions.
