Good storyline - mediocre acting!

I am kind of on the fence about this series. It started really well, apart from the main character being clearly gullible and stupid. Her flat mate gets killed and she decides to jump on a train to France!! Yeah right! Her naivity continues throughout the serious where she attempts to carry on a normal life of clubbing and shopping and wonders why the press won't leave her alone. The acting skills of some of the cast leave a lot to be desired, with the exception of Cristian Solimeno as Alex, Sam Cassidy as Prince Theo and the legend that is Billy Zane as Stan. Billy made the entire series believable and enjoyable and by the end I was just desperate to know whether or not he would win or lose the court case! Michael Lindall also did a good job as the evil Finch and Emily Tremaine did a fairly decent job as Natalie. I was disappointed by how "American" the series was considering it was all set in London, and the accuracy of the practice of British Law was way out. Even though I initially suspected him, I was shocked at the final revelation of the true killer, and felt he portrayed his final scene with good acting and credibility. Didn't find it believable at all that Grace almost got kidnapped by a crazy prison guard! Or that she was almost killed by Molly's stalker neighbour! Naomi Ryan's portrayal of Gwen the prosecutor was quite surprisingly good, and she successfully showed two very different sides to Gwen. The woman obsessed with sending Grace to jail and the woman who was vulnerable and drained by events from her past. All in all, an interesting plot and a must-see for die hard whodunnit fans.
