Hard to believe this show has been on so many years and is so popular. It's quite boring and repetitive. All the houses are almost identical and have very outdated interiors, like from the 70s and 80s. The kitchens are all the same, ugly tile floors, carpeted bedrooms, standing wardrobes, ugh. Rarely, is there a house featured that has been renovated to be modern but still have the charm of the original building.

What's really hilarious is almost no one ever buys one of the houses they've looked at. There is no conclusion, no final scene of them moving in or any episodes that update the rare times when they do buy the property. Wouldn't mind seeing what they do to renovate it to make it a B&B, for example.

One redeeming thing about the show is the amazing scenery and the vignettes about local culture such as visiting an old mill.
