Definitely NOT Total Drama but better than the average baby-esque show

I guess a background: I'm a childless 20 yo who just had a great love for the original Total Drama series. I finally caved in to check out this show recently since I really liked the original. I knew before going in that it wasn't going to keep the majority of the continuity from the original show (i.e, siblings, friendships, allergies) but I was surprised by some references that are brought up throughout. The main issue I thing the show has is that it is 'Total Drama' when the quality would be unchanged if they were random toddler characters. I also thought the addition to Jude in the cast would annoy me but it isn't super bothersome. As it stands as a kids show: I think it is better than average, especially coming from someone who isn't a kid. I mean, I grew up in the 2000's and most tykes shows were friendly and had jammed in morals. Total Dramarama is both morbid and obscure, which could be something I'm just not used to. Most parents dread watching tyke shows with their toddler but I think it's amusing enough to tune in to if you wanted to spend time on the couch with them. The only issue with the show as a kids show is how morbid it can get. There is definitely a recurring theme of dead animals and funerals. So either this show is made for kids or it's made for bigger kids and masked as a baby show. Either way, it isn't all too bad, I just don't think it needed to be Total Drama. Honestly, making 6teen the title and including TDI character might've been better in that sense because TDI is meant to be a reality show.
