Adam Wingard's 2021 blockbuster event Godzilla vs. Kong has a pretty terrible plot with forgettable characters who don't really serve much purpose in the narrative, the fight scenes however, are a whole lot of fun. Godzilla fighting Kong in a neon drenched Hong Kong looks spectacular, especially on the big screen, and I was smiling during every action sequence because it's really just that ridiculous. At this point, do we really need humans in these films to fill out a half-assed plot, we all know what we're here for, can't we just let the monkey and the lizard fight?
