Prateek Vats' debut directorial "Eeb Allay Ooo" makes a mockery of India's Socio-Economical set-up with burlesquing mannerisms. Whilst wittily taking a jab at existing Socio-political backdrop; this anecdote lost track of its forethought trajectory. Superfluous subtlety taking its toll.

Social/Political annotations are sporadic feats in Indian Cinema. The exact reason behind their mere inhabitance is up for debate yet they certainly retain an ample amount of valor for sculpting the real face of modern humanity. But not all of them could fulfill the set standard.

For the moment, let us start on an affirmative note...

A grounded appeal in its execution and befitting performances are a feast for the eyes. By the looks of it; this has the appearance of a documentary rather than a feature film.
It just goes to show even downright simplicity would be prevalent under such adept guidance.

Although the same cannot be said for its writing and direction. Especially keeping in mind the last act. Wherein the bottom-line message fails to fit in with their gaudy attempts. All the efforts are being made to exhibit disparate subject matters in a consolidated way but this naive inclination has not been able to bring forth an appeasing end result.
