This movie was apparently not marketed very well, and didn't get much attention. It's a damned shame. This movie deserves to have way more eyes on it.
Excellent cast, excellent acting. I thought sadly, at the end of the story, that these German POWs would be returning to a shattered land. Life was not good in Europe after the war. This movie, and others that tackle similar subjects, make it possible to hate war, and to detest the men who wage war, but to feel pity for everyone who is affected by it, even soldiers.
score 10/10
