Possible spoilers so don't read please if you want to view it in the future. Funny I was thinking about this film one day and was amazed many other viewers got the same feeling from it. I love the sea which I now live by now and would love to meet a mysterious dark haired woman that would come from it's depths. ;) I agree with many of you the music helps give it some of the feeling and mood to it. Of course I love music and find some really powerful soundtracks come out of movies such as these. Check out the music from the early 90's film WUTHERING HEIGHTS by Sakamoto and be blown away. Anyways back to this film I saw it when it came out. Of course being a kid I was interested in it from the Bermuda Triangle/horror aspect of the story. I picked up a bit on the mood of the doomed summer romance, etc. I guess the first viewing may of disappointed me a bit. It is a slightly cheesy movie in some ways, but seeing it a few times later in life the situation the main character went through sort of sticks with you a bit. We sometimes find that summer romance in life that is just lasts that moment and is gone. It brought a bit of that hope then sadness. Just my two cents on this funky little TV flick. Later out there from someone who loves the sea and would be sad to leave it.
