This should just be watched as a refresher if youve forgotten a lot of what happened when you first watched the show and need to rewatch the key events for a better understanding. Dont watch this if you havent watched the anime, you wont get the same level of emotional attachment to the world or characters, so the animes the best way to view for first timers or for leisure rewatches
