Promoting a match as "the greatest ever" before it even occurs is counter-productive

Because it is impossible for the match itself to live up to the hype. Imagine if there was no hype - then the admittedly good but loooooooong main event between Randy Orton and Edge would look even better than it was (especially considering that, on paper, it's a main event more befitting a 2010 PPV than a 2020 one). It's doubtful if it is even the best match of the night - personally I would nominate Drew McIntyre vs. Bobby Lashley for that title; Lashley has rarely looked better and is a credible threat to McIntyre's reign, even though you know it is too early for a title change - a problem that the bookers try to overcome with a weak "outside interference" ending. Speaking of weak endings, Asuka vs. Nia Jax takes the cake. The other matches are OK if forgettable; the backstage brawl / comedy segment with the Viking Raiders and the Street Prophets is amusing but overlong . 7/10 on the whole.
