From the beginning I can't take the male character serious. He looks like he just got out of a spray tan bed and his hair is greasy as ever. I understand they want to portray some 'world traveler' but if that is what the average world traveler looks like to them, they should take another look. I couldn't stop thinking that he really just looked like a real tool.
The other problem I have with this story is that beyond the bad acting and script writing, the idea that you would be engaged to someone in a family but fall in love with a future in-law, break up with the engaged person but come back to get married to the future in-law later. It was pretty poorly done by Hallmark overall.
The one liners are terrible and the story is once again a rehashed version of what Hallmark does in ever movie of theirs. An original story apparently does not seem to be on the radar for Hallmark in the past few years, which is truly unfortunate. The channel that pumps out movies has the same premise for 99% of their releases.
