I ended up watching this movie with my mother and we loved it. Full of dark comedy and laughter often at the expense of someone else. There is even an excellently funny scene involving a joint and an unfinished story. I would highly recommend this movie. It is twisted, funny and makes light of the fact that most people have families just like this; including me. I greatly enjoyed the interactions between siblings, their families and the siblings and their mother. And the granddaughter is very endearing as she tries to figure out what nice thing to say about her grandfather that won't involve out and out lying. Rip Torn plays a wonderfully despicable man is somewhat fondly remembered even if no one can really think of why. A definite must see; if only to realize that your family is no where near this bad.
