Sad, Depressing Cliché. Brokeback Mountain for teenagers.

This looks like it could be an interesting series, although it seems very dark, depressing and loaded with drama. Just to make sure you understand it's a seriously depressing show it's shot in muted tones, like the sun never comes out and no one can afford to properly light their home or they'd kill themselves from the shock of seeing their bleak reality in full detail. Enough already Adi Hasak we get it, it's a serious drama, the horse is dead, stop beating it.

I hate it when we get stuck with these directors or "creators" who get this conceptual idea of the series like they're making an art film for their professor in grad school and they really want to impress her/him. It's USA Network not Masterpiece Theater. Don't overdo it. Know you audience.

I like the idea of a coming out story, but this is an old fashioned cliché. Gay relationship must be full of angst, shame and punishment because everyone knows being gay is a sin against god and nature. Get off the soapbox Adi Hasak it's 2016, a lot of kids today don't feel ashamed about their sexuality and they don't need to be punished for being gay and being gay is not a sin.

If this show wasn't so visually distracting I would watch another episode, but I have a feeling there's going to be a lot of night scenes, which is bad news if you actually want to see what's happening. The picture quality is so muted now, add darkness and you might as well be listening to it on radio. There are some good actors, I was excited to see Julianne Nicholson, although it would have been nice to see her in some makeup. Just because she's a cop doesn't mean she has to look like leftover dishwater. I liked Tyler Young, he's a chameleon. He wears the face that best suits the people he's with at the time. James Paxton on the other hand with his died hair and skinny jeans, screaming he's not gay is laughable. Take a look in the mirror buddy. Seriously if he were so concerned about people thinking he were gay, he would not dye his hair that color, he wouldn't want to stand out in a crowd. There's just too much going wrong with this show and I don't want to hang around to see if they get it right because I don't think Adi Hasak or anyone has a clue what real life is all about.
