This film is unlike anything I've ever seen before. The story revolves around 4 different people, all who suffer from some type physical disfigurement. I won't go into details, since I don't want to spoil anything for those who have not seen it. Although the subject matter is somewhat disturbing, it's the dark humor that makes it easier to digest. I couldn't take my eyes off the screen as I found myself caring for these people and what happens to them.
This story itself is about loving and accepting yourself, no matter what disability you're dealing with. Throughout the course of the film, we see these people make a transformation. They get rid of the trash in their lives, and what unfolds is beautiful and heartfelt.
If you've read the negative reviews, ignore them and judge for yourself. Sure, this movie isn't going to be everyone's cup of tea, but give it a chance. In this age of Hollywood reboots, and boring movies coming out, watch something that's totally unique and different.
