I thought the movie was very good. I was overseas in the Marine Corps in 1960 and played supporting roles. At one time a played a live Marine hitting the beach head, also I played a dead American Marine and also a dead Japanese soldier hanging from a tree.
On another note, we got to wear the same over wear and didn't have to shave for weeks. Pluse it was neat to meet movie stars in person such as Jeffery Hunnter, Vic Dimone, Bill Williams etc. If I had the the chance I would happily go back and do it again. I've told my grandchildren of the great experience I had in the movie, and we've seen the movie on TV and in local stores.
