Truly great. Great screenwriting, seemingly high-budget production, not afraid of showing how perverse and multifaceted this story actually can be told. The colour pallettes of many scenes are sometimes quite too much, too vibrantly colorful, but this may be a statement to compensate the lack of saturation in the other motion pictures and tv series. As Christiane F. became a household name, it is indeed quite delightfully surprising to watch this counter-intuitively colorful yet still shocking tale of rough youth, love, friendship, and avoiding the dread.
