this movie was pretty much a much less funny version of an 80's movie (in particular Ferris Bueller's Day Off). I'm not sure if the director intended for it to be like that, but it was pretty much the same plot; the main character gets out of school, tricks his dumb parents, uses his trusty friend to get what he wants, and of course there's got to be a girl involved (Johnson). He also talks into the camera, as he goes about his day, telling the audience what he's doing. In particular, the scene where he uses a doll in his bed to trick his parents into thinking he's asleep and the use of a microphone as well, is a direct copy from John Hughes' classic film. Overall, this movie deserves a poor rating, and failed to even make me smile once. Perhaps due to the obvious rip off scenes and plot from Ferris Bueller's Day Off, this movie failed to meet my already low expectations. (Great for kids aged 6-12)
