Absolutely nothing clicked in this film. Patinkin may as well have been playing Inigo Montoya, Davis was over the top and Thompson's character was as shallow as could be. Grant, I believe, attempted to be Chopin - but only Peterson gave a credible performance.
As far as any musical validity let's not even start.
Don't waste your time.
