One of the best gangster noir flics of all time. Amazing job and so glad it finally made it to DVD. Too bad we can't get some interviews and more background on this gem from the stars. Have to say that it blows me away every time I see it. Sissy Spacek in her first movie and Hackman & Marvin in a seldom seen collaboration that sparks. Strange most of the previous posts don't mention that Marvin & Hackman's characters were obviously previous business associates (close) and that Gene has Lee's old squeeze, a previous playboy model in real life. This movie rocks, a great period (70's) movie that pulls no punches in all the right places. Best previous post: That Gary Wolcott plays Hackman's brother and was the only member of the original 'Plan 9 From Outer Space' to be in 'Ed Wood'. Good call brother!
