After the colossal cult success of Rocky Horror Picture Show, the same film makers decided to bank on its popularity by bringing another musical satire, Shock Treatment. Unlike its predecessor (RHPS), which had kitschy nuances, funny characters and catchy musical numbers, Shock Treatment has none of those qualities. What we have here is a series of dumb songs, poorly choreographed vignettes and some tasteless jokes. Even Jessica Harper wearing a tight black sequined dress isn't enough to save this turkey. Shock Treatment is a dreadful bore.
