Rated 8 for being so bad yet surviving. I have an MP3 of Jean Shepard broadcast from 1973 (a new york talk radio guy in the '60s and '70s) that discusses this movie.

It was shot in seven days with no budget on crappy film - the director took the job because he was out of money and figured it would never make it into distribution - but he created a monster. The director also did the camera work for 2001 Space Oddysey! The director Gaffney was a friend of the radio guy and he called him after seeing this on late night TV and catching Gaffney's name in the credits. They had been friend earlier in the US signal corps. It turns out Gaffney could never live down this movie - it just would not die.
