The film has a grim opening populated entirely with maggots and earthworms to set you up for the story, so you probably shouldn't watch this while eating lunch. The vampires make their appearance at night when the stranded travelers at a remote hotel and inn are diverted from their original destination. Many of them get the full vampire treatment because these buggers don't work alone, they attack as a group leaving nothing to chance. The entire time I had my eye on the little girl from the bus playing with her new found friend, I expected him to show his fangs but that never happened, he preferred to do a disappearing act instead. Depending on one's disposition, there's a scene that's either disgustingly gross or unintentionally funny when the blonde traveler Alma (Dyanik Zurakowska) discovers a new definition for the term 'finger food'. As one of the few survivors of the story, Alma joins Luis (Jack Taylor) in a get away attempt at the end of the movie, with a horde of vampires attacking their car and smashing it's windows trying to get in. However if you keep an eye on the vehicle as it breaks free and speeds away, you'll note that the windows are closed and intact. Having seen and reviewed just about three dozen vampire flicks, this one comes in dead last on my list of IMDb rated films. Finally, I've found one that rates lower than "A Polish Vampire in Burbank".
