I wouldn't have the existence of this film if i didn't browse the wikipedia of karthik aryan. Akshvani comes before the same team of sonu ke titu ki sweety. Luv ranjan as director, karthik as hero, nusrat as heroine and sunny as villain.
It narrates the story of akash and vani who meet in college, become friends and fall in love. After college, akash leaves for higher studies. Vani's life changes when her elder sister elopes with her lover before her wedding day leaving vani's parents embarrassed infront of people. Vani's dad decides to get her married and vani willingly agrees sad seeing him being humiliated. She breaksup with akash and latter is not bothered to convince her. Vani marries ravi and settles with him in a flat in bangalore. Ravi acts very decent outside but privately he always finds fault in every things of vani and harass her and in night gets physical with her. She often leaves to her home and complaints about ravi but they ask her to adjust and send her back to him. One day vani's uncle visits them and asks ravi whether he could send her with him to delhi for few days which he agrees. In delhi, vani gets to meet her old friends and also akash. They enjoy their reunion and love blossoms back of akash and vani. Will vani break the shackles of her abusive marriage? Will akash fight to win her back? That's the story of akashvani.
First act is enjoyable with romance and comedy. But the film gets entirely serious after vani's marriage. It shows many issues but not in a very hardhitting way. Sunny singh performed very well as the sadist husband. Karthik aryan was okay and nusrat was good. On the whole akashvani is partially intense and partially cheesy.
