VOODOO WOMAN stars Marla English as the greedy, homicidal Marilyn Blanchard (Marla English- THE SHE CREATURE). Along w/ her snappy-dressing, lunkheaded boyfriend, Rick (Lance Fuller- THIS ISLAND EARTH), Marilyn decides to commit murder in hopes of profiting thereby. Then, with guide, Ted Bronson (Mike "Touch" Connors) in tow, they set off through the jungle in search of further riches. Their trek takes an eternity, causing complete, bodily numbness in the viewer! Unfortunately for Marilyn, she's heading toward a village full of voodoo practitioners, presided over by Chaka, the witch doctor (Martin Wilkins) and Dr. Gerard (Tom Conway), who enjoy wearing what appear to be dead ostriches on their noggins! There's also a monster (aka: someone in the leftover costume from THE SHE CREATURE), moaning villagers, and a lackadaisical bongo drum-player! Don't let this fool you, this movie is excruciatingly boring, consisting mostly of scenes of people wandering through the jungle, or fighting among themselves. The only real "excitement" is saved for the less-than enthralling finale when the not-so convincing monster meanders about in its blonde wig, looking sort of like a morlock w/ a skin condition. Thankfully, it's barely ever shown. Egad!...
