Note to the commenter who said Gar died when he tried to explain himself to Monica ~ no, it was after that, when he & Tucker were fighting about who was using whom, etc, and the altercation got onto the street where Gar saw a vehicle headed for Tucker, and pushed Tucker out of the way, Gar himself getting hit. Coach knelt down to strickenly watch helplessly as a fatally-wounded & disillusioned Gar looked one final time into the eyes of his beloved mentor.
